Senior Account Executive

The Opportunity

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day execution of PR campaigns and projects, bringing creativity and sound news judgment to every client challenge
  • Proactively engage with client contacts, lead calls and meetings, and apply your experience across accounts — with minimal oversight
  • Drive proactive and reactive media outreach, from pitch development to securing meaningful coverage across a range of outlet types
  • Craft compelling, client-ready written materials — press releases, bylines, media pitches, briefing documents, FAQs, and more
  • Build and maintain media lists, coverage trackers, and other key client-facing materials
  • Contribute to strategic account planning and new business proposals
  • Oversee press events, client functions, and media briefings
  • Mentor junior team members and model a growth mindset within the agency

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of PR experience, ideally in an agency environment with tech industry exposure
  • A proven track record of earned media results and strong journalist relationships
  • Exceptional writing skills across formats — you can shift from a crisp pitch to a long-form byline without breaking stride
  • Fluency in social media strategy and how it integrates with broader PR programs
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a curiosity about how they can support research, content development, and workflow efficiency — without replacing the strategic thinking and relationships that make great PR
  • AP Style proficiency and sharp attention to detail
  • Confidence presenting to clients and leading media briefings
  • A collaborative working style — you share credit, communicate proactively, and make the people around you better
  • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field

Agency or in-house PR experience is the typical path to this role — but if you come from a newsroom and you’re ready to work on the other side of the story, we’d love to hear from you.
