Sylvia Park joins Communiqué PR as an account coordinator after completing a six-month internship with Edelman Public Relations on its Microsoft Zune team.
During her internship on the Zune team, Park gained professional public relations experience and participated in the planning and execution of significant media events, which garnered positive coverage for clients in top-tier publications including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times and BusinessWeek. As a member of the Zune team, Park was exposed to the demanding technology environment and has become well-acquainted with technology publications and blogs including Engadget, Gizmodo and CrunchGear.
Prior to Edelman, Park completed a three-month internship with Vandenberg Communications during which she worked closely with clients including Choice USA, a non profit organization, and Pearl Jam. Park helped to create press materials for Choice USA’s Generation-to-Generation awardees and assisted the team with preparing for Pearl Jam’s 2006 European tour by compiling media kits and working with the band’s management team to finalize tour details.
Park earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington with a major in Communications and was the vice president of UW’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter.
