Melissa Liton, a PR veteran of nine years comes to Communiqué PR as an Account Director. Her responsibilities include the management of all aspects of a client relationship and account team and offers high level counsel to. Additionally she oversees strategic program planning, creative concepts and new business development.
Melissa's expertise lies in strategic media relations, developing and executing creative campaigns for clients spanning technology, consumer and healthcare. Leveraging a strong journalism background, Melissa works closely with some of the most influential business and technology editors in the industry today including TIME, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, The Wall Street Journal, Reuters and NPR.
Before joining Communiqué, Melissa was a group manager at Weber Shandwick Worldwide where she was the day-to-day lead on several consumer and mobile/wireless accounts. Prior to Weber, Melissa worked at a boutique PR agency in San Francisco where she was responsible for helping young start-up technology companies in the enterprise software sector become industry leaders through targeted, aggressive media relations initiatives. Some of clients she's worked with include InfoSpace, Seattle Children's Hospital, Openwave, Capella University, AvantGo, Teranode, mSpot, Compuware and GoldenGate Software.
Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism and public relations from Emerson College in Boston.
