Jennifer Gehrt

Jennifer Gehrt is a public relations professional with more than 17 years experience developing and managing corporate and consumer campaigns for a wide variety of companies, from Fortune 500 giants to nimble startups in the earliest lifecycle stages. As the co-founder of Communiqué PR, she is focused on creating value for clients, as well as guiding the strategic direction of the firm.

Recent Communiqué PR accomplishments have scored clients editorial coverage in the following national and international business publications: Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune, Investor's Business Daily, Financial Times, Business 2.0 and Business Week. She also has placed articles in a wide range of industry trade publications, such as Wireless Week, RCR, Medical Laboratory Observer, Clinical Laboratory Products, Chief Learning Officer and many others.

Prior to founding Communiqué PR, Jennifer was with Waggener Edstrom, one of the world's largest independent public relations firms, and held positions as account director and director of business development. As director of business development, Jennifer was instrumental in winning business from MasterCard International, Connexion by Boeing, Siemens, and T-Mobile.

Before joining Waggener Edstrom, Jennifer served as the director of marketing communications for Tegic Communications, a developer of software for wireless phones. Her activities included managing worldwide media relations and brand building through public relations. Public relations activities at Tegic Communications played an essential role in setting the stage for the company's acquisition by America Online Inc. in December 1999.

Jennifer also worked on the corporate side with AT&T Wireless Services, Wireless Data Division. Her accomplishments with AT&T Wireless Services included the launch of AT&T PocketNet Service, the world's first wireless phone with a browser.

Jennifer has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon. She also received a certificate of study for Nijenrode, the Netherlands School of Business.
