Pacific Lutheran University honors student Bethany Aye has joined Communiqué Public Relations for a six-month internship to gain practical public relations experience.
During the course of her practicum, Aye will learn essential aspects of the business - compiling press lists, pitching journalists, creating business proposals, blogging in the business world, coverage tracking, drafting status reports and press releases, and client interaction. She is working enthusiastically to acquire the skills required of any capable public relations professional.
Prior to her internship at Communiqué PR, she completed a copywriting internship with On-Hold Concepts Inc in University Place, Washington. There she wrote advertisements for more than 35 companies in the “on-hold” environment, including the Seattle Ronald McDonald House, Superfeet, Charles River Clinical Services and PR Web.
Aye will graduate from PLU in December of 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in English (with an emphasis in Creative Writing) and a minor in Business Administration. She has been on the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievements since 2006 and has studied abroad in England, Germany, Greece and Spain.
